FAQs
Interested in going into business for yourself? Opening a childcare franchise is a great way to do so. Since 2001, Jovie has helped hundreds of franchisees break into our business. Here are a few of the questions we regularly receive about the process.
The exact cost to open a new Jovie childcare and nanny business will vary depending on lots of variables, such as the region where you’ll be operating. We estimate that the total initial investment will range between $105,000 to $158,000. We’ve included just about everything it takes to get started in that estimate, including the cost of getting your office space up and running, initial marketing costs, and much more. In order to manage this expense, we’re looking for franchisees with a net worth of $350k and $50k in liquid assets.
We’ve fine-tuned our business model so that you don’t need to be an expert in childcare or development in order to leverage it. We’ll show you how to find well-qualified employees to provide services while you run the business side of things. Having a college education is a great qualification because the skills you learned there could be useful to you as a business owner, but it’s not a requirement. If you’re hardworking and are driven to go into business for yourself, you might just have what it takes.
Jovie is worlds apart from other childcare franchises for many reasons. First, because we offer multiple revenue streams (nannying, babysitting, corporate backup care and B2B childcare services) we can fulfill the needs of virtually any client, helping franchisees to expand their customer base. Second, because we specialize in convenience — our revolutionary app makes it easier than ever for parents to schedule time with a highly-qualified nanny or babysitter, even on short notice — we enjoy a competitive edge. Third, because our strong brand name is well-known and trusted in over 30 states, our franchisees benefit from elevated brand recognition. Finally, it’s much more affordable to open a Jovie franchise than a daycare center with an expensive buildout. These are just a few of the reasons why Jovie stands out.
Of course! Our scalable business model means it’s simple to expand your nanny business once you establish a strong customer base. In fact, some of our franchisees even opt to open multiple locations so they can serve nearby territories in addition to their first location. We work with our franchisees to set realistic goals for growth and provide them with resources to help achieve those goals. Whether you’re looking to operate a small family business or grow your holdings into an empire, the Jovie support team can provide you with tools and guidance to reach your goals.
While previously under the College Nannie + Sitters name, we used to offer tutoring services. However, we stopped offering tutoring as 2020. Some of our existing franchisees still offer tutoring services under the terms of their franchise agreements.
